The Financial Management Associate (FMA) Program is a global leadership development program for Master’s Degree candidates (or qualified internal candidates), designed to create a pipeline of future Citi Finance leaders with experience in multiple Finance disciplines. The FMA program is unique due to the various business/region/function perspectives it offers.

The program consists of three six-month rotations in which FMAs can contribute to multiple Finance disciplines. Each rotation must be in a Finance role that is different between rotations.

This is done to maximize FMA development opportunities, accelerate learning and allow FMAs to quickly contribute to Citi Finance priorities.

Upon successful completion of the program, FMAs are considered for placements in Citi Finance for a Finance role.

The Summer FMA Mexico is a 10 – 11 weeks  program with  a series of classroom training sessions. The Business Development Officer is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize all possible channels to source quality new-to-bank clients with potential to generate business across lending, treasury, capital markets, cash management products.
  • Responsible for the entire process of new client acquisition from identifying prospects, delivering customized financial service solutions to completing facility availment.
  • Facilitate client on-boarding process by resolving operations and service issues that may arise.
  • Work in preparing credit assessments and monitoring risk issues by liaising with clients on any document deficiency or requests for more information.
  • Follow up with clients on offer acceptance and confirm the facility is successfully availed.
  • Keep supervisor informed about key changes in market conditions, trend, clients information, etc., and escalate potential issues and concerns promptly.
